Hello There,
I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.
I reviewed the video and understand the issue you encountered while translating the Chinese page. The reason the translation progress wasn't updating is that several translations were loaded from the translation memory (as indicated by the black bar in hidden link), but they weren't saved. As a result, the translation progress wasn't updated properly. Once you translated all the untranslated items and saved the translation memory, the progress reached 100%, allowing you to save the entire translation.
Regarding entering the data after refreshing the page, the same data might be used multiple times on the page, and when you search, another instance of it may appear in the translation editor. Could you please check to ensure that when you refresh the page, the previously entered translation is actually empty, rather than a new instance of the same data?
Please ensure that any translation showing a black bar (indicating it was loaded from the translation memory) has been saved, as this is necessary for the translation progress to increase.
Let me know if you have any other questions or need clarification. I will be happy to help.
I understand your concern. Please note that URLs and links are not part of translatable content. This is why you may find untranslated URLs when searching for them. Translating the URL itself won’t affect the overall translation progress.
If you find a URL that hasn’t been translated, you can choose to either translate it or leave it as is. If you decide not to translate it, please ensure that the page linked to that URL is properly translated.
Regarding the issue shown in the screenshot, you won’t be able to save the translation until the HTML formatting matches that of the default language content. Based on the screenshot, there are two formatting changes: one for the email address and another for the text "Map." The formatting for the email address has been applied correctly in the translation, but the formatting for "Map" has not.
Please locate the translation for "Map," select the text, and click on the "a" tag with a pink background(Screenshot: hidden link). This will apply the correct formatting, and you should then be able to save the translation.
I hope this clarifies things for you. Additionally, to maintain clarity and organization in each thread, we are allowed to address one issue per thread. If you have any other questions or issues other than what was initially mentioned in this ticket, I kindly request you create a new ticket for each one. Our support team will be more than happy to assist you with those as well.
The reason the paragraph isn't showing as translated is that the segments have now been joined in the translation editor. I checked the previous German translation and noticed that the paragraph was split into multiple segments and translated separately. Currently, this option (hidden link) is enabled in the translation editor, which combines the segments and allows you to translate the entire paragraph in one go, rather than breaking it into individual sentences.
Since the segments are now joined, you'll need to translate the entire paragraph. If you'd prefer not to, you can simply split the paragraph back into multiple segments by clicking this icon (hidden link), and the previous translation will reappear in the translation editor. I hope you can understand.
If you're migrating your site to a new server, including the domain, you shouldn't encounter any issues with the translation memory. The translation memory is stored in our translation management system. As long as the site key and website ID match the ones stored in our system for your site's translation memory, you should not experience any problems.
You can check this guide to understand the next step after migration.
If you encounter any further issues with translation memory, please feel free to create a new ticket and include a link to this ticket as a reference. We will be happy to assist you.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
