Hello there,

Can you confirm if the original issue, regarding the loss of translation is fixed after registering the new key? I checked on the staging site and so far I can't reproduce it, I wanted to double-check with you.

Regarding the issue with the Italian translation of the product 'Quick connect pull-ring with butyl kit', I sincerely apologize for the delay.

I had, what I wrongly thought that was an equal report here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/contents-in-prodcut-archive-page-and-product-single-page-cant-be-translated/

This was escalated and our team found a solution to it, but when I tried to apply the same solution to your case I discovered the issues are similar but not exactly the same.

After some debugging, I figured out that if we duplicate the product in the original language and translate the duplicate, then the issue doesn't happen in the new copy product, the Italian translation is created and accessible from the front end: hidden link

I tried to check for any other product having the same issue, so far I couldn't locate. Can you tell me if the issue is happening only with 'Quick connect pull-ring with butyl kit'?

Also, can you please try the same workaround in the live site to confirm that it is working in there as well?

Hi Mateus, thanks for you reply.

The original issue with the translation being reverted didn't happen again, I think disabling the WPML Cache fixed it.

I've done major updates on the live website (updated the shoptimizer theme from 1 year ago to today) and I think the staging will be quite different than the live, but nonetheless I'll check to translate another product tomorrow, and let you know if this happens again.

But I don't understand completely, do you mean that we have to duplicate every product in order to translate them? Or this was just you example for this Quick pull connector with Butyl Kit?

I don't think this is a doable solution for us if all needs to be duplicated, because I think more problems will come duplicating it, I mean more work on our side..

I thought the issue was happening only with that single product, then the workaround would have to be applied only once.

But it is happening for more products then?

I translated a few of them to Italian in the staging and I couldn't replicate the same issue, only for the product 'Quick connect pull-ring with butyl kit'.

Hi Mateus, yea it's only happening to that one, we tried couple more and it works!

I'll let you know if something else comes up, do you want to close this ticket or still have it open for a week or so to see if there's something new?
