Usually there are no problems to update but in the past few days I am not able to update the plugin. In the Installer Support page I get an error for WPML API server

Log says:
Request URL hidden link
Response: Your site can't communicate with
Component: products-connection-test

It's like this for at least 2 days - last time it seems to have worked as per the log is 28.08.2023. See log attached as image.

I went through the forum tickets and tried all things recommended there. There is one thing I was advised by my hosting (they confirm nothing is blacklisted with them) is to ask you if you are blocking traffic from this domain (the same happens for other websites we have as well BUT not all of them).

Can you help please?

Hi there.

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

Have you done any particular steps around this date? Installing or updating plugins, maybe anything else.

To ensure we are on the same page, has your hosting provider confirmed that allow the following domains?

– wpml.org
– cdn.wpml.org
– api.wpml.org
– api.toolset.com
– cloudfront.net

Hi Mihai,

Yes, the hosting already confirmed nothing is blocked. I also cleaned caches, disabled security plugins.

On this date I moved the live site DB to this site (it is a DEV version where we update plugins) and I updated WP to the latest version before I get to update WPML and see this problem.

Keep in mind that we do this process for a few sites and other sites do not have this issue after the same steps were taken (they are on the same hosting).

In one of the topics here I read that WPML may block traffic from sites. Could that be a reason?

Thanks,
Simeon

Hi Simeon.

I will have to check with your Systems team.

I will keep you up to date and get back to you as soon as I have news.

I'm leaving the ticket assigned to myself for now.

Hi there.

I am back.

The systems team said that the main domain needed to be whitelisted, that's why it was not working.

Please try again now.
