Background of the issue:
Translate all English pages to French.
I used the Translation Management and it says the pages are translated to French. See screenshot. hidden link
However as shown in the screenshot, the French pages are not created. The page Equipment was created through the duplicate option but the visual composer content is not French. hidden link hidden link
Symptoms:
French pages not automatically created.
Visual Composer content not translated.
Questions:
What's the procedure to automatically translate visual composer (hidden link) content?
I understand the issue you're encountering. From the screenshot, it appears that all pages in French are marked as "Translated," so they should be visible in the French language. Additionally, there isn't a separate process for translating pages built with Visual Composer. If you're using the default VC modules and automatic translation is enabled on your site, the content should automatically appear translated without any extra steps.
Since the French pages aren't visible even though their status shows as "Translated" in translation management, the issue might be related to synchronization. Please try the following steps and check if they help.
- Please go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting
- Click on the following buttons:
-- Synchronize posts taxonomies [Select 'Pages' from the dropdown and then click the button]
-- Clear the cache in WPML
-- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
-- Fix element_type collation
-- Fix WPML tables collation
-- Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs
-- Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE
-- Assign translation status to duplicated content
-- Set language information
-- Fix post type assignment for translations
- Once done, clear the caches from your site and browser.
Check if the pages are visible in the French language section. If they’re not, try sending another page for translation into French. Once the translation is complete, see if the French page appears.
Please let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
Glad to hear that the suggestions helped to solve the missing page issue.
Regarding the issue with the menu and page links: it’s possible that the menu hasn’t been translated, which is why it doesn't appear correctly in French. Since you’ve already translated the pages into French, please synchronize the menu and create a menu for the secondary language by following the guide below.
I hope it will help to display the me u correctly in French language.
For the issue with page links: When translating a page or post, any custom links you've added should be available in the translation editor for translation. Could you please try translating the links from the translation editor and see if that resolves the issue? You can refer to the guide below to understand the process of translating links.
Let me know if the information above helps in solving the issue or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
