I am trying to: update the WPML manually . While the rest of the plugins were updated ok, when i tried to update the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency i got an error message (see screenshot) and the site crashed. THis is not the first time but it really get frustrating.

I tried to upload manually the newst versions from your site and halfway through i was getting the message "the link has expired"

I have only managed to install the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin

Hi there.

This issue is pretty strange, indeed, and it can happen for multiple reasons.

Can you please try to follow the exact same steps I recommended in this other ticket here:

My recommendation there fixed the issue for the customer.

I read the article and quite frankly i do not understand why if i bought a commercial plugin i need to do all that . And that is not even the surface. Every month or so the WP, or Woo or WPML will need upgrading and there is always a risk of crash. So far 90% of my crashes in the websites i manage are related to WPML updates. Its more than 50% that my site will crash during WPML upgrade (of one of the 4 main components) I almost never had an issue with another plugin, especially not a free one. I need my translations and most importantly ..My Piece of Mind!

I totally understand what do you mean and I am really sorry that you are going through all of this.

It is very rare that I find a customer going through issues when updating our plugins.

That usually happens when customers are updating from very old versions of our plugins or when there are issues related to server configuration.

The recommendation I offered above is a manual procedure that should help you avoid most complications.
