Problem:
The client reported an issue where the default language of the website is set to Portuguese, but the WPML menus and content do not appear in the assigned language. This problem is also affecting site optimization and the Elementor API.
Solution:
We informed the client that the WordPress dashboard language can be different from the WPML default language. Users can select their preferred language for the WordPress Dashboard under Users > Profile > Language. The client had English selected as the dashboard language. We advised the client to change the dashboard language to Portuguese after performing a site backup and to inform us about the outcome. For further details, we provided a link to our documentation:
