This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing a significant slowdown in the WordPress dashboard when using WPML, particularly when saving menus, which can take over 50 seconds to load.

Solution:
First, we recommend updating to the latest version of WPML Multilingual CMS, as version 4.6.9 includes performance improvements. To update, navigate to Plugins > Add New > Commercial and click on "Search for WPML Updates". You can also download the latest versions directly from your WPML account downloads page.

If updating does not resolve the issue, we suggest running WPML > WP Menus Sync to reduce the number of duplicated queries. You can find a guide on how to do this here: Translating Menus.

Additionally, use the troubleshooting options under WPML > Support > Troubleshooting to sync post taxonomies and clear the WPML cache. More information on these options can be found here: WPML Troubleshooting Options.

After these steps, the client should see a significant reduction in duplicated queries and improved performance.

We have a problem on the dashboard side, as wpml is slowing down the site enormously.

The example is when saving the Menu it is loading 50seconds and more. Though, this problem is all around the WP dashboard.

It is slightly better for some time when I click the "Cleanup and Optimize string tables"

I am attaching the screenshot.

Could I give you temporary access to our site so someone can investigate this?

Hello,

The latest version of WPML Multilingual CMS 4.6.9 has some improvements for performance issues of that kind.

Please go to Plugins > Install > Commercial and click "Search for WPML Updates".

Then install the latest versions of our plugins.

You can also download the plugins from wpml.org account page:
https://wpml.org/account/downloads/

In case the updates will not solve the issues, please let me know.

I would like to offer to have a closer look at the problem and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate this issue further.

You can find the required fields below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, which means only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to make a backup copy of the website and database before allowing us access.
If you can't see the wp-admin / FTP fields, your post and website credentials are set as PUBLIC. DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

I may have to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to make a copy of the website where I can investigate the issue further.

However, I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site or copy of the website from your server yourself for this purpose.

If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, you can consult your hosting provider. Just take note that WPML should be registered on this site again.

If you are unable to provide such a copy of the site for testing, please let me know on this ticket.

Du hast mir einen Link zum CPanel gesendet und auf diesem kann ich mich leider nicht anmelden.

Unter hidden link finde ich leider keine Website.

Ich habe das private Antwortformular erneut aktiviert.

Bitte nenne mit die SiteURL zum Anmelden in WordPress und die Zugriffsdaten zu einem Admin-Konto.

I ran WPML > WP Menus Sync which reduced the amount of duplicated queries on Query Monitor from around 300 to 100.

Then I ran the options at WPML > Support > Troubleshooting to sync post taxonomies and clear the WPML cache.

After that, only 23 duplicated queries were found.

Only one of those is still related to WPML, but its impact is very minor. (0,0003 Seconds)
