This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using WPML with Elementor and have manually updated content in English and its French translation. However, the WPML -> Translations section does not reflect these manual updates, although the frontend shows the translations correctly.
Solution:
We recommend disabling the WPML editor when you are manually translating content in Elementor. This prevents the WPML from overwriting your manual translations with the default language text. You should consistently use only one method of translation—manual editing directly in Elementor in this case. For detailed guidance, please refer to our documentation on using different translation editors for different pages: Using Different Translation Editors for Different Pages.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
On our website, we are using WPML in combination with the Elementor page builder. Initially, we created our content in English and then translated it into French using the translation management service XTM. Later, we manually updated certain content on some English pages and made corresponding manual updates to the French translations using Elementor. We also created a completely new page in English and manually translated it into French using Elementor.

Symptoms:
When content is manually translated directly in Elementor, the WPML -> Translations section does not reflect the latest French translations. Despite this, the frontend displays the entire page as translated.

Questions:
Is there a way to sync manually translated content in Elementor so that WPML -> Translations accurately reflects the content?
Why does the WPML -> Translations section not display the latest French translations when content is manually updated in Elementor?

Hello,

that is expected, you can not mix translation methods. If you are adding translations manually you should disable WPML editor as explained in the next docs, and use only that method and directly edit the page and ad manual translation. Otherwise, you might experience issues and manual content being overwritten with default language text.

Hope this helps.

Hi Drazen,

Thank you for your reply.
Is there any way to sync it? And it is not possible at the moment.

Hello,

it is not possible those are 2 different translation methods, not connected together. You need to decide on one and use only that one, as I said otherwise it will cause issues, you should not mix those workflows.
