Problem:
The client is trying to set up French versions of core pages in WPML and wants to edit them directly in Elementor. Specifically, the client needs a French version of the Contact page and wants to create a 'copy' (a French shell page linked to the English one) to edit fully in Elementor. However, when attempting to create this page, WPML automatically opens the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE), and no actual French page is created in the Pages list unless something is saved inside ATE. The client also wants to disable the ATE for these pages so that WPML creates a French page in the Pages list that can then be edited in Elementor.

Solution:
To resolve this issue, we recommend deactivating the Translation Editor for these specific pages. Please note that the option to deactivate the Translation Editor appears in the Language block when editing the content in the original language.
