Problem: The client needed a way to manually disconnect translations that were incorrectly connected, as the current system did not provide an easy method to remove these connections once established. Solution: We informed the client that WPML does not have a built-in feature to 'disconnect' translations directly. If a wrong translation is connected, the client must delete the translation, recreate it, and then reconnect it correctly. To delete a wrong translation, the client should go to Pages, filter by the language of the wrong translation, select it, and send it to the trash, then permanently delete it from the trash. Additionally, the client discovered that these translations were in the translation job queue, where they could manually cancel jobs, which effectively removes the connections between pages.
