The supporter created a sandbox site with a fresh WordPress + WPML installation to check if the issue is caused by WPML or third-party functionalities. The user was instructed to activate and set up WooCommerce and Woocommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency, import the .po files, and check for the issue. The user found a workaround by creating a translation memory with strings from the .PO file, exporting WooCommerce strings from WPML, translating using the translation memory, and importing the translations.
