Hi,
I'm facing the same issue as I had with this ticket again:https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wordpress-affiliate-manager-plugin-not-translated-anymore/
I went and checked my wp-config.php file and there are no filesystem restrictions. Also I looked at the file permission to the wp-content/language and it looks like there is write permission. So I don't know what is causing the issue now.

And there are translation files present. It's working for French, but not for German:

I scanned through the previous ticket to understand the issue.
If it were a permissions issue, I would have expected some warnings in the PHP logs, but it doesn't look like that was raised in the other ticket.
In any case, before one of my colleagues takes this thread, could you please check your debug.log for any pertinent messages?
If you haven't already, turn on the debug log by editing your wp-config.php file and change the line with WP_DEBUG like so:
define('WP_DEBUG', true);
define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);
define('WP_DISABLE_FATAL_ERROR_HANDLER',true);
That will create a debug.log file in your /wp-content/ directory which you can examine in any text editor.
You'll need to revisit the problem pages for it to generate any warnings or errors.
Then inspect the log.
If you don't find the debug.log file it means it didn't generate any warnings or errors.
(I do note from your screenshots that the permissions appear to be correct and working, but let's check if there is anything helpful in the debug log.)

Hi Bruno,
Thanks I did that action of generating new MO files you recommended. No change.
One thing I find weird is that my backend admin interface is set to English, but this plugin shows it's admin texts all in French. I'd rather have it in English, but I can live with it. Maybe the plugin thinks it's on a French site and somehow ignores WPML ? What do you think?

As far as I see translations are working only when "Look for strings while pages are rendered" is enabled on the string translation page, so there is a possibility that the URL for the .mo files is not properly set the within in database.
Can I ask you to install and activate https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-phpmyadmin-extension/ plugin so we could have a look?

Hi,
it seems like that phpmyadmin is not working in this environment.
However can you install https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-file-manager/ ? I would like to check .mo files of the German and compare them with French, let's see if this gives us some answers.
Strings are originally in English so the fact that they work in French indicates something else, not that there is a compatibility issue with this plugin.
