This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to translate the English elements of an Elementor checkout page using WPML string translation, but despite translating them in the string translation section, no changes are visible on the page.
Solution:
1. First, ensure that you have followed the steps mentioned in this forum post.
2. If the issue persists, go to WPML-> String Translation, search for the problematic strings, delete their translations, and then re-translate them.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, or if the solution seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. Additionally, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate Elementor checkout page elements. The checkout page is created via Elementor and it adds the option to display the login and add coupon fields. The only fields Elementor allows to change are the Greek ones. I want to translate the English ones but I cannot via string translation. I can see them in string translation, have translated but I do not see any changes. I have also tried to delete the strings, rescan Elementor plugins and translate again with no results. Here are the links to the screenshots: hidden link, hidden link.

Symptoms:
I cannot translate the English elements of the Elementor checkout page via string translation. Despite seeing them in string translation and translating them, no changes are visible.

Questions:
Why can't I see the translated English elements on the Elementor checkout page?
How can I successfully translate the English elements using WPML string translation?

Hello,

Yes I can see that this may work but I guess the xml in my case could be different. For example I can see the strings I have translated via elementor but the problem is in the oppening box strings as you can see in the screenshots.

So what sould the xml look like? I will add it to the correct place and proceed as you mention in the other ticket.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please back up your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

I added the XML code to WPML-> Settings-> Custom XML tab. Please make a minor edit to the checkout page in the default language and translate it.

After the translation, please check the translated checkout on the front end and let me know if any strings are missing.

Best regards,
Osama

Hello,

I followed the steps and I did not see any strings missing. Ι also updated the translated string and it did not solve the problem.

Do you think that if I delete the string from the string translation, scan elementor again and try to translate will fix the issue?

I would also like to update the login credentials if you can activate a private message.

Thanks!
