Andreas

When I make changes in the wpm-config.xml to change the translatable Gutenberg-fields, these changes are not picked up in the Advanced Translation Editor until I cancel the translation job and start it again. If the previous translation job is marked as finished, I have to start a new one, cancel it and start a new one again. Only then my changes are picked up.

Thanks for your patience.

Here is the ticket and I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Thank you for getting back to me.

I've reviewed the situation, and upon checking, I haven't noticed any discernible difference, as demonstrated in this screen recording: hidden link

In the English language, it still displays "Example Page" and "This is a tree", while in German, it continues to show "Beispielseite" and "Das ist ein Baum". There seems to be no change before or after canceling the translation job.

Perhaps you could create a brief screen recording to illustrate the issue you're encountering on your end?

It is not about the label "This is a tree" but about the label "Figcaption" in the translation-editor. I have changed it to a different label ("This is a new label") here: hidden link but I can't get this new label to show up in already translated posts. I would like that it automatically shows up everywhere and the old label would be gone when I save the wpml-config.

To be clear, I'm talking about the field-label not about the image-label.

This is especially important on another WordPress Site where I want to quickly iterate on my own custom blocks.

Thanks for your reply.

I've tested it again and it works fine as shown in this screen recording hidden link . I'm able to update the label by making minor changes to the page title. Could you give this another try?
