Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate the Elementor Animated Headlines Widget from English to zh-hant and zh-hans. The issue can be seen on the page: hidden link. I expected the translated pages to be: hidden link (En version), hidden link (zh-hant version), hidden link (zh-hans version). The headlines of zh-hant and zh-hans versions should be rotating like the en version.

Symptoms:
After the widget is translated, 3 headlines are stacking together without rotation. Checking the WPML translation editor, a is generated between the lines, which can't be removed.

Questions:
Why are the translated headlines not rotating like the English version?
How can I remove the generated between the lines in the WPML translation editor?

Thank you for contacting WPML support. I'll be happy to help you with this. How are you translating the content for these rotating headers? The screenshot you shared of WPML translation editor is the classic editor, which does not work with automatic translation. Did you change the translation method, or do you just mean that the classic editor is adding the line breaks?

Are you using any 3rd party Elementor plugins to create these headers?

Hi Lauren,

This is a native Elementor Pro widget - Animated Headline.

I am not using automatic translation. i translated it manually.

The translation editor is adding 2 unnecessary <br> that avoiding the headlines to rotate.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

I tried editing the translation to put the text on different lines but that didn't resolve the issue. I then tried to edit the original page, but Editor won't open (screenshot attached). Do you have a staging site where we can test minimal settings? Meaning only WPML active with Elementor with a default theme. If you don't, you can use something like WP Staging to create one, or your hosting provider may be able to build one. If not, let me know and I can create a test site and we can migrate a copy of your site there.

Hi Lauren,

I am checking on the Elementor builder loading issue. It was working fine yesterday.

Anyway, i don't have a staging site. Can you migrate one to work on please?

Cheers
Delan

It looks like the issue was due to translating using the classic editor, which does not handle HTML the way our advancd editor does. I switched the editor settings in WPML -> Settings to use the Advanced editor, added the translations to the advanced translation editor, and now the slides look correct here: hidden link

You are welcome to switch back to the classic editor, but I would warn that the issue may return if you edit the homepage with the classic editor, due to the structure of the HTML and how the classic editor handles it.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance and I will be happy to help.

Hi thank you for checking it out.

Unfortunately it doesn't look correct.

In the original EN version, the rotation should have 3 headlines (and each headline has a <br> I put it there intentionally because I need each headline to have a sub-headline), like:

1. Transforming Waste to Energy<br><b>for a Sustainable Future</b>

2. Innovative Solutions<br><b>for Efficient Waste Management</b>

3. Harnessing Power from Waste<br><b>to Reduce Landfill Dependency </b>

However the translation broken the headlines from the way I designed in EN version. As a result they are rotating in a different way.

When I visit hidden link, I am seeing the header and the subheader. Is that not what you are seeing? If not, please send me a screenshot and let me know which part of the screenshot looks incorrect. Thanks!

i changed the way to break the sub-headlne (using h2/h3 instead of br) and it is fine now. the translator doesn't allow to use <br>

It looks like everything is working as expected now. If so, you can close this ticket. If you need further assistance, just let me know and share additional screenshots of what you are seeing that still is not correct. Thanks!
