On our german website hidden link when I click on the article "sind alle religionen gleich?" (fill this in, in the search bar, if you want to test this yourself) the blogpost redirects to hidden link (the English website). How come?

I checked the yoast plugin + Siteground. No redirections there. How to fix this?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will be happy to help you today.

I checked your website following your instructions to test and on my end everything seems to work fine. (please check attached image).

Is there any other specific page that it happens or any steps I can follow to see the issue?

* If it is happening on your end, try clearing the cache of the website and check if it still persists after.

Looking forward to your reply,
Marsel

What happens on your end when you click on the article "Sind alle Religionen gleich?"
Do you go to the article or to hidden link (which is the English website)?

Hi,

I just checked and today it seems to redirect to an category page (hidden link) as you said, yesterday it was showing a post, not sure what happened.

I was able to check URL (hidden link) on the (hidden link), and I see there is a 301 redirection happening.

1) I would suggest you try clearing the website cache on a server level (try twice with a 15min delay from each time), as SiteGround is known for having a good cache system.

2) If clearing the cache on a server level won't work, would it be possible to check if the issue happens in a minimal setup, that meaning:

- keep the theme you have
- keep active only WPML Plugins
- disable all other plugins

After, check if the issue is still happening. This will help to understand if the issue is being caused by any other plugin.

Note: Please make sure you have a full backup (files & database) before trying anything on your website.

Let me know how it goes,
Marsel

Hi,

Thank you for the update.

1) Could you tell me if there is any Nginx cache mechanism set on the server?

2) Can you please check on the YOAST SEO plugin settings if there is any redirection set for that specific post?

Thanks,
Marsel
