Background of the issue:
I am using WPML Version 4.7.1 and have set up 4 additional languages: German, French, Spanish, and Japanese. I attempted to translate the 'About us' page from English to German. During this process, I uploaded two pictures into the German Media Folder.

Symptoms:
The 'Featured Image' appears in both the German and French media folders simultaneously. The 'Custom Background Image' was uploaded manually into the German media folder but appears only in the Japanese media folder. The German page displays correctly with the Custom Background Image. The Spanish media folder shows correctly no pictures.

Questions:
Why the 'Custom Background Image' is located in the Japanese folder and does not appear in the German folder?
Why does the Featured Picture appear in 2 media folders at the same time?

Can you please try the following on this sandbox:
hidden link

1. Install the **Motors** theme.
2. Create a page in English (e.g., **"About Us"**).
3. Translate the page into **German**.
4. While translating, upload a **Featured Image**.
5. Upload a **Custom Background Image** specifically to the **German media folder**.
6. Check the **media folders for each language** and verify:
- Does the **Featured Image** appear in multiple folders?
- Does the **Custom Background Image** appear in the wrong folder?

This will help determine if the issue is related to **WPML media translation settings** or a potential bug. Let me know the results.
