Background of the issue:
I am trying to prevent translated blocks from going missing whenever the English content is updated. We tried using the 'Minor Edit - Do not update translation' but it doesn't work.

Symptoms:
When we translate the original content, the corresponding affected, translated blocks go missing on the translated site.

Questions:
Is there a hook that we can use to bypass or skip the unpublishing of the affected translations?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

I see that you're using a very old WordPress and older versions of WPML plugins, along with several other plugins and a custom theme.

Using older versions isn't recommended and are tend to produce unexpected issues. Newer versions bring fixes, new features and improved functionality.

Apparently problem could be these older versions and/or a conflict by another plugin or theme.

I'll recommend to fix the following first:

IMPORTANT: Please take full backup of your website and database beforehand.

It is highly advised to try this on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.

- Update WordPress to the latest version.
- Update WPML plugins to the latest versions.
- Update all other plugins specially the ones involved in the said process, to the latest versions.
- Update theme to the latest version if needed.

And check again.

If issue still continues to appear, then probably there's also a conflict coming from another place. lease try the following in this case:

1) Take a full backup of your site and database before proceeding. It is highly advised to try these on a dev or staging site first, so your live site isn't compromised.
2) Deactivate all plugins except WPML and String Translation.
3) Switch to a standard theme like 2024 or 2021.
4) Check for the issue if it still happens.
5) Then start activating plugins one by one while keep checking for the issue. This way you 'll be able to pinpoint a conflict when & where it starts creating the problem.
6) If after activating all plugins you see that it still works fine, then switch to your theme and see if that's causing it.

Please let me know your findings and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.

Regards.
