Background of the issue:
I am using WPML to translate my website, hidden link, into English and Spanish. The primary language of the site is Romanian. I have translated the front page and a module called Rentsyst, and I am also working on translating a footer widget.
Symptoms:
The Rentsyst module translation is not displaying correctly. The English page shows Romanian translation, the Romanian page shows the English version, and the Spanish site shows the Romanian translation. Additionally, the footer widget is detected as English by WPML, but it contains Romanian text and won't translate to English or Spanish. There are five string rows for the same footer text.
Questions:
Why is the Rentsyst module translation not displaying correctly across different language versions?
How can I resolve the issue with the footer widget translation, given that WPML detects it as English and there are multiple string rows for the same text?
While one of my teammates assists you with your ticket, I will provide you with initial debugging steps.
Please upload any relevant screenshots or links that help illustrate the problem. Additionally, share the translation process you are following.
Is it possible that you selected the incorrect content language when you first set up WPML? If that is the case and not much translation work has been completed yet (like a few pages), I recommend resetting and reconfiguring WPML so that the entire content is in the right language.
1. Go to WPML → Support and click on the Troubleshooting link.
2. In the Reset section of the Troubleshooting page, select the checkbox for "I am about to reset all translation and language data." Then, click on the "Reset and deactivate WPML" button.
