Hi, we have a translation of this post hidden link into French, here, hidden link But, if I am at the English page, switching the language sends me to the homepage. But if I switch to Spanish, it stays correctly there. If I edit the French post, there is correctly written at the top that the post is translated from the English version and everything is correct. But again, switching to French does not work. It does not work for all the French posts. Spanish and Arabic is fine. Regards, |

Hi Karel, Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will be happy to help you. 1) I noticed that on the French link you shared the menu is not showing on the page, only the language switcher, could you please tell me how are you adding the menu to the header's website (are you using any page builder/theme option)? 2) Could you also please tell me how are you translating the menu? --- Could you try clearing the cache of your website (server-side included) and check if the issue persists? Looking forward to your reply, |

Hello, this is not about the menu. Yes I know, the menu is not yet fully translated but we are testing first of all if it is worth having French posts at all. But this is not answering the main issue. If you go here hidden link then you can switch to Spanish and the translated post loads up. But not with the French version. Also, is it somehow possible to show the text of the language when you click the flag in the main menu? There are only flags, no text. And, I don't want to have the text there all the time. ONLY when you click it and the flags submenu shows up. Then there should be English, Spanish etc... Thanks, New threads created by Marsel Nikolli and linked to this one are listed below: |

Thanks for the update Karel, The reason why I asked about the menu was because if there was some custom menu being set on the website happens that the language switcher is not set correctly. Anyway, were you able to clear the cache of the website and check if the issue persists after? Would it be possible to check if the issue happens in a minimal setup, meaning: - switch to a default WP theme After, check if the issue is still happening. Note: Please make sure you have a full backup (files & database) before trying anything on your website. --- Related to the question about showing the flag in the main menu and the flag with text on the dropdown menu, per our Support Policy, we can handle only one issue per ticket. Continuing with one issue per ticket helps not only supporters to focus on one issue at once but also enables other users to find solutions to their questions faster. I created a new ticket for you regarding the new question here: Thanks, |

Hello, cache was cleared, everything is correct. But the link in the menu does not link properly. There is no 301. But switching to FR should lead to the translated page and it does not. Check the links from the flags... And as I said several times, Spanish is fine, only French is not. So this is not about plugins or a theme... |

Thanks for the update. On my end, I see the same issue with the French and Arabic (as you can see on this video: hidden link) Also, if I go to: hidden link, I see that on the language switcher the flag and the text are showing, instead if you switch language it shows only flags. Could you please follow these steps: - go to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshoot (blue link) 1- Clear the cache in WPML After that, check if the issue persists and let me know. * Please make sure you have a full backup of your website before following the steps above. Looking forward to your reply, |

Hello, that did not help. I just cleared the cache and everything. And no, Arabic is not a problem because the post is not in Arabic. For example here hidden link it works. Here it works for both Arabic and French hidden link But the post we are talking at the beginning is not working. So there must be some bug or settings which is not allowing correct connection between the translations... |

Hi Karel, I would need temporary access to your site's WP-admin to investigate this issue and understand it better (please create an administrator user using any email address you prefer). Please fully back up your site (files and database) and confirm it in your next reply. Your next reply is set to private for you to provide the username and password details. Thanks, |

Hi, I tried to access the website but I do get the message asking me for an authorization code as shown in the attached image. Could you please check and let me how I can access the website? Thanks, |

Thank you, I was able to log in and I noticed that: - On WPML -> Translation Management, only the tab "Tools" is showing and it shows an error message after it tries to load. (as shown in the attached image) On first look seems to be a conflict with another plugin, but to troubleshoot further this issue we would need to check if the issue happens with only WPML plugins active, and check by activating the other plugins one by one to be able to identify which plugin might be creating a conflict. I would suggest you set up a staging site and proceed there with the checking. Let me know if that works for you, |

Well, no, you don't have the permissions. I gave you just a temporary admin which is not a full admin. We have a staging site but I need to request an access for you. I'll let you know. |

Sorry, if I didn't express myself correctly. I am not going to do anything further on the website you gave me access to, I know that's a production site (anyway I wouldn't proceed without having your permission). I can proceed with the test I suggested previously or you can check yourself on the staging site only. * You mentioned that the user you gave me is a "temporary admin", could you please check if you see the same view as on the attached images, or if you have a different view with your user? Let me know about the staging site. |

I have no idea what has happened. The staging site is ready for you but well, the link is now correct. Maybe it was because of redis cache, is it possible? |
