Background of the issue:
I am trying to resolve a display problem with the English translation on the product category pages of my site. The categories are not displayed the same way across all languages. Unlike the French and Spanish pages, the categories are mixed on the terrestrial and marine menu tabs. I attempted to solve the problem using the troubleshooting option in WPML and WCLM, but nothing changed. The issue appeared suddenly, even though the translation had been working fine before. Here are the links to the pages where the issue can be seen: hidden link and hidden link.

Symptoms:
The main product categories are not displayed consistently across languages. In English, all products are mixed together in the same category on both pages, unlike the French and Spanish pages.

Questions:
Could you please tell me how to solve the problem?

Hi,

Please let me ask a few questions to understand the issue better.

1. Is the problem in the menu of the site in English?

I'm asking this because you wrote the following, but shared screenshots of the menus.

In English, all products are mixed together in the same category on both pages, unlike the French and Spanish pages.

The menus look alright to me.
2. Is the problem with the products that show in the links to the English pages you shared? Please see the attached screenshot.

3. Can you please explain to me how you have created the section on the product category page?

Please answer those questions, and if you need further help with this, please share the access details to your site with me. I'm enabling a private message for the following reply.

Hi, and thanks for the access details.

Please create a backup of your site's DB and try the following.

Try the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency troubleshooting section. This is the direct link on your site:
hidden link
Thy the option under:

- Synchronize data into translations
- Fix multilingual information
- Fix missing product taxonomies

Clear the cache on your site and check if the problem is fixed.

If the problem persists, please try the troubleshooting section.

1. Take a backup of the DB of your site.

2. Go to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting (link)

3. Once on the troubleshooting screen, press the following buttons and check if it helps. Press each button at a time and wait for the process to complete.

- 'Disable cache for language switcher templates'

- 'Clear language information and repopulate languages' button (if it is showing)

- 'Synchronize posts taxonomies' for 'Products'

- 'Clear the cache in WPML'

- 'Remove ghost entries from the translation tables'

- 'Fix element_type collation'

- 'Fix WPML tables collation'

- 'Assign translation status to duplicated content'

- 'Set language information'

- 'Reset languages' Press this button only if you didn't add a custom language!

- 'Fix terms count'

- 'Fix post type assignment for translations'

Then, clear the cache on your site and check if the problem is fixed.

*** Please make a backup of your database before using this.***

Please let me know how it goes.

Please note that my weekend hours are Friday to Saturday. If you need further assistance, I'll be available to continue checking this issue and helping you next week.

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi,

Our second-tier supporter conducted a few preliminary checks but so far without revealing anything. If you have a staging site, then our second-tier supporter suggests trying to check if the problem persists in a minimum environment.

We suspect a collision with the theme or another plugin might cause this problem. If possible, get your site into a minimum environment, switching to the parent Bridge theme, like TwentyTwenty-Four, and having no plugins activated except WPML.

First, you must check if the problem persists when just the theme is switched to the parent Bridge theme. If it persists, deactivate all plugins except WPML and its add-ons and WooCommerce without any extensions. (If the Bridge Core plugin is required, also leave it active.) Then, please check if the problem persists. If it does not continue, start by activating the plugins individually and checking when the issue comes back, then report to me which plugin was the culprit.

**** Important! Please make a full site backup (files and DB) before you proceed with those steps****

*** If your site is live, you might want to try those procedures in a staging environment or a snapshot of your site on your local server or another server. ***

If this test has not yielded results, then please allow me to take a copy of your site. For this, I must install a plugin like Duplicator or All In One Migration. Please let me know if you agree.

Regards,
Itamar.
