This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported an issue with unexpected redirects marked by 'x-redirect-by: WPML' when moving their site to production. The same problem was observed on the development environment.
Solution:
After gaining access to the website, we resolved the issue by clearing the website's cache. We advised the client to clear the cache on the production site as well to see if it resolves the issue.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking for related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

My URL without 'www.' gets a redirect to an intranet page (which gives a 404 when not logged in). When I check the redirect I get this information:

How can I delete the created redirect by WPML?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will gladly help you.

1) Could you please try clearing your website's cache(server-side included) and check if the issue persists?

2) If the issue persists after clearing the cache, would it be possible to check if the issue happens in a minimal setup, meaning:

- keep the theme you have
- keep active only WPML Plugins and must-have plugins
- disable all other plugins

After, check if the issue is still happening.

Note: Please make sure you have a full backup (files & database) before trying anything on your website.

* Note: WPML doesn't have a redirect function itself.

Looking forward to your reply,
Marsel

I have tested the issue on my development environment as well (we moved the site last week to production).

The same issue is happening there.. but then with hidden link to hidden link

Why is hidden link telling me it is a x-redirect-by: WPML?

Hi,

I would need temporary access to your site's WP-admin (staging site) to investigate this issue and understand it better. Please create an administrator user using any email you prefer.

Please fully back up your site (files and database) and confirm it in your next reply.
* Note: I might need to enable/disable plugins, switch themes, and access your website database.

Your next reply is set to private for you to provide the username and password details.

Thanks,
Marsel

It should work now!

Thank you, I was able to access the website and the issue seems to be fixed on the staging site by just clearing the cache of the website (check the attached image).

Let me know if you have further questions or need further assistance.

Kind regards,
Marsel
