I am trying to:

Translate a composite product. The structure is as follows:

- composite product
  - bundle
    - variable
    - variable
    - variable
    - variable
  - bundle
    - variable
    - variable
    - variable

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:

The original language shows the steps nicely and I can select all option. I want to see this on the translated page as well.

Instead, I got:

When I go to the translated page, I only see the first step translated correctly, but the second step doesn't show.

I started with only 1 step. This worked. I added the second step bundle and translated it. Then the second step showed, but no options. When I translated the underlying variable products of that bundle, the second step in the composite products disappeared.

I set all custom fields to be translated, saved all products again, translated all products again, but no result.

Hi there

I can't see your link, the site is in maintenance mode.

I'd like to check this in a clean environment, with as simple a set up as is possible to test the issue. (This is what we'll ultimately require if we confirm a problem that needs to get escalated to the developers.)

So could I ask you to please create a simplified demonstration of the product hierarchy (variable products inside bundles inside a composite) on a test site I've prepared.

If you reproduce the hierarchy of products (no need to create complex variants of the products, just a few simple products with dummy titles) in the default language (English), and let me know when you've done that, I can look into translating them.

You can access the admin section of the site with this link: hidden link

Thanks.

Hi,

I have created the simplest version of our product. One composite with a bundle with a few variable products.

This case worked on our site, it only went wrong with composite items with multiple bundles under it, but in this test case it already breaks with one bundle.

I have created it on the provided environment.

Regards,
Mark

Thanks for that Mark.

From what I can see the problem only relates to the custom titles in the case where you have added the same variable product to a bundle multiple times.

In the screenshot "variable 1" which comes from how you had it set up, where the product variable 1 is added 3 times to bundle 1, but with custom titles "Variable 1!", "Variable 1!!", and "Variable 1!!!", in that case each product variation uses the same last of the custom titles (i.e. "Variable 1!!!"). But otherwise things appear okay (I'm not familiar with WC Variations and WC Product Bundles plugins.)

I updated the product bundle 1 so that it contained both Variable 1 and Variable 2 products, and these are both added to the composite okay and appear to display correctly on the translation of the composite product.

(Note I had to re-translate the bundle and composite products to account for the changes to the variation product.)

Am I right that the issue only relates to the custom titles in the scenario where a product is added miltiple times to a single bundle?
