This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is facing an issue where translated products on their website do not automatically use the same image as the original product. They want to avoid duplicating the image in the media folder and ensure that the same photo is used across all languages.
Solution:
We recommend following these steps to ensure that the same image is used across all languages when translating a product:
1. When creating or editing a product in the original language, navigate to the right column to the Language block.
2. At the bottom of this block, select the two checkboxes to duplicate the featured image and the attached media.
3. Save the changes.
4. If necessary, update the product translation and double-check that the translated product now displays the same images as the original.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure that when a product is translated on my site hidden link, it retains the same image as the original product. I do not want to duplicate the image in the media folder; I want the same photo used across all languages. I have been following the documentation at https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/ but could not find how to set the image to not translate.

Symptoms:
When translating a product, the translation doesn't have an image. If the image is chosen separately for each language, it remains unchanged if updated in one language.

Questions:
Which setting should I change to ensure the same image is used across all languages?
How can I sync product images across all languages so that changes in one language reflect in others?

When I create a new product, set an image for it, and then translate it, the translation DOES NOT has that image. Kindly tell me how can I make it happen so that when translating a product, the translation will have the image automatically without me needing to choose the image for each and every translation.

Hi there,

In this case, you need to follow these steps:
- When creating/editing a product in the original language, go to the right column -> Language block -> Select the two checkboxes that appear at the bottom of the box to duplicate the featured image and the attached media -> Save the changes
- Update the product translation if necessary
- Double-check that the translated product now shows the same images as the original one

Looking forward to your feedback.
