This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where changing the product visibility in the default language does not automatically update the visibility in the translated product, even though the option appears as locked in the translation.
Solution:
We explained that WPML allows for the publishing of translations once the original content is published, which can be set in WPML > Settings > Translated documents options. However, this currently only applies to public visibility. If the original is set as a draft, the translations will not update automatically. We acknowledged that there is an ongoing feature request to implement synchronization of visibility settings across translations, which may be available in a future WPML version.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please contact us on the WPML support forum.
