Rank math SEO meta description are the same for all languages on homepage

I am trying to change the SEO meta description of my homepage using Rank Math. Symptoms: When I change the SEO meta description of my homepage, all SEO meta description translations of the homepage also change. This issue does not occur on other pages. Questions: Why does changing the SEO meta description on the homepage affect all translations? How can I set different SEO meta descriptions for each language on the homepage?

Background of the issue:

Symptoms:
When I change the SEO meta description of my homepage, all SEO meta description translations of the homepage also change. This issue does not occur on other pages.
