Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the search functionality on my WordPress site, hidden link, which uses WPML. I am specifically working with the Arabic section of the site at hidden link.
Symptoms:
When I write in English in the search bar on the Arabic section of the site, it does not return English search results.
Questions:
Why does the search in the Arabic section not return English results when I search in English?
One of my colleagues will handle your ticket. In the meantime, I would like to share some helpful information.
This behavior is expected because the content is organized by language. You won't also see Arabic results on the English version of the site. This cannot be changed in the WPML settings, and it requires the custom coding for your current theme if the search is part of it.
This behavior is expected, as the search is being conducted within the Arabic content rather than the English content.
It would be the same behavior as if the products have not been translated or are displayed using the "display as translated" method (which does not correspond to an actual database ID), no results will be returned.
