Okay lets continue with Dogmap.
Two things here.

1. We translated the FAQ Page in WPML but on our page where FAQ is added in the end it is still in English. What went wrong or how to do better?

Hello,

can you please share URL where I can see this issue? I assume you have each FAQ as post type or? If so did you translate each FAQ post type also?

Please let me know how are you adding and translating them.

Regards,
Drazen

Hey Drazen,

thank you for opening this ticket.

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

If you have translated each FAQ post to german language and it still shows in English, then please share admin access and I will take a look what might be wrong.

Drazen

Hey Drazen,

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I talked to the team and they didn't find an option to translate it.

The settings in WPML are set to translating in post type and taxonomies Translation.

(And for the knowledge base, I think, it is working. It just looks like translating a normal page. But our knowledge base doesn't have content yet.)

So we need it in the FAQs and there is no translation mentioned. I made a screenshot. Do you have an idea where we can access the translation or should I get a login for you?

Best regards, have a nice weekend.

Hello,

I am not sure but I assume these are post types and you need to set them as translatable:

Otherwise please try to search for them via WPML > String translation:

If you still have issues, yes please share admin access and I will check.

Drazen

Hello,

Thanks for the update I’m glad the first link helped.

Regarding the issue on the German page (“This FAQ group 72 contains no items…”), along with the mixed German/English content and the fact that everything appears correctly translated in the WPML editor this unfortunately points to a compatibility limitation with the plugin itself.

From what I can see, the plugin is not fully built to support multilingual setups. In some cases like this, it may not correctly load translated content, and can even trigger critical errors.

I would recommend reaching out to the plugin author and reporting this behavior. You can also suggest they join the WPML Go Global Program we’d be happy to collaborate with them to make the plugin fully compatible with WPML.

As a workaround in the meantime, you can try the following:

- Set the FAQ group to Not translatable
- Create a separate FAQ group for German
- Manually edit the German page and assign that new FAQ group

I tested here and it works fine: hidden link

Let me know if you have any further questions or doubts.

Regards,
Drazen

Is Heroic Knowledge Base is compatible with WPML?
or can you recommend a high-end knowledge base, which is?

And I forgot, the German site is already separated from the WPML editor, because of the embed link, we need different ones for English and German.

Hello,

Great, in that case it should be fine and even easier for you to manage.

As for your second question, to keep things clear and focused on one topic, I have opened a new ticket for that and we can continue there.
