Hello,

we've recently noticed that many of our pages oembeded URLs return 404 erros.
For example this page: hidden link
The oembed url
hidden link
returns:
{"code":"oembed_invalid_url","message":"Not Found","data":{"status":404}}

When we deactivate WPML and the /de/ is removed from the URLs the oembed URLs return the content normally again, so I think it has something to do with WPML

Hi there,

I checked the link without DE and it still shows the 404 error:

hidden link

Please copy your website to a staging website and deactivate WPML and WPML addons there and if the issue is still there then it is not a WPML.

If not, please get back to us with the login information for the Copied website.

Please do not add the live website information as we can not do testes on a live website.

Thank you.

Hi,

I did some more research on my own and found that this: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/custom-permalinks-shows-404-for-oembed-links/
was the problem.
I used the recommended solution and it fixed the problem.
But still thanks for the help.
