This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client experienced issues with their website after using WPML to translate it. The translated webpages displayed without images, texts were overlapping, and the language switcher widget was not displaying properly. The root cause was identified as theme design issues exacerbated by the addition of the language switcher and longer text in menu translations.
Solution:
We provided a CSS fix to address the layout issues caused by the language switcher and menu translations. The client should add the following CSS in WPML->Languages->Language URL options->Additional CSS:
For the missing images, specifically the logo, the client should go to the Avada options, switch to the secondary language, and add the logo translations. Selecting a smaller size for the logo may be necessary if it appears too large.
If this solution does not resolve your issues or seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Background of the issue:
I used WPML to translate my website hidden link. I followed the WPML Documentation instructions.
Symptoms:
When I imported the translations, all the translated webpages displayed without images, texts were overlapping, and everything seemed to be broken. The language switcher widget is not displaying properly. I had to deactivate the WPML plugin otherwise my website looks broken.
Questions:
Why are the translated webpages displaying without images?
Why are texts overlapping on the translated pages?
Why is the language switcher widget not displaying properly?
How can I fix the broken appearance of my website after using WPML?
Thank you for contacting WPML support. I'd be happy to assist you on this issue.
To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.
So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. hidden link
The issue is not with WPML but with the theme design, when the language switcher is added to the menu the spacing design breaks and when scroll, it again breaks.
In the translations the same menu translations text is longer and this takes more spaces, which creates the same issue.
I have managed to create a css fix for the switcher but for the translations you will need to remove menu items to fix this issue or shorten the translations for the menu titles.
I have added the following css in WPML->Languages->Language URL options->Additional CSS
Also, for the images missing, I see logo is missing, and the logo is added via avada options, so go to avada options switch to the secondary language and add the logo translations.
I tried this and added the logo, but the logo shows up to big, so select the small size logo to fix the issue.
I will check the site now and try to implement your suggestion. In the meantime, can you tell my why there is only 1 page in Greek, when there should be 19? Like I said earlier, I translated all of the following pages into Greek:

Next question, why are there Strings that appear to be EN, when they are actually translated in Greek? See the attached image. What I marked is Greek text.

How can I separate easily what needs to be translated, from the Strings list (there are 911 strings total!), and what does not?
I want to do this easily so I'd like to export a *po file, translated it on my own, and then import it back to the website.
