This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to bid on a product in a different language using the YITH Auctions plugin. Additionally, the product page was missing the footer and the language switcher option.

Solution:
We identified a conflict between the YITH Auctions plugin and the "PRO Elements" plugin. To resolve the issue, we recommended deactivating the "Product Data Tabs" widget from the PRO Elements plugin through "Elementor > Element Manager". If the problem persists, we advised the client to contact the support team or developer of the PRO Elements plugin and suggest they join the WPML Go-global program to ensure compatibility.

Please note that this solution may not apply to your situation if it's outdated or not relevant to your case. If you're still experiencing issues, we recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem continues, please open a new support ticket with us.

I am trying to: Bid on both Portuguese and English Products

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link - Can't bid and no footer

I expected to see: Bid and footer

Instead, I got: also can't get to the other language

Hello, I am facing an unusual situation with YITH Auctions and WPML on my test website.

I have an Auction Store, and If I bid on a product, I can't bid on the same product on the other language.

When this happens, the product page on the language where I can't bid will be missing it's footer, and the option to switch the language.

hidden link - English Product, where I can bid and switch language

hidden link - Same product in Portuguese where I can't bid, change language and have no footer.

I would appreciate any kind of help really. Thank you.

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're having. It seems that the Auction settings may not have been transferred to the translated version, which is causing the Auction features to not work properly in the secondary language.

However, to isolate the root cause of the issue, a closer inspection will be required. I kindly request your cooperation in replicating the issue within our sandbox site given below.

Click on the link to Automatically log in to our sandbox: hidden link

WPML and its add-ons are already installed and activated in the Sandbox. Please install the "YITH Auction" plugin, ensure that the setup for this plugin and WPML is done, and then try to replicate the issue experienced on our sandbox.

If the issue occurs, please let me know. I will take a closer look and advise you on what to do next. Your cooperation and patience in this matter is greatly appreciated.

If you require any assistance during this process or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Our team is here to support you every step of the way.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hello, I have done what you suggested, it works fine on the sandbox. Now in my website, for example hidden link throws an error that suggests that some argument is being converted to a string, could this be because of string translation?

Hi There,

Thank you for the update. I truly appreciate your effort in trying to reproduce the issue on the sandbox.

I don't think the issue stems from the String Translation, as we would have likely encountered it in the Sandbox environment as well if that were the case.

However, the error log from the page you shared indicates that specific settings or properties within the YITH Auction plugin, particularly the Timestamp value, might have been manually translated via String Translation, potentially causing this issue.

Could you please navigate to "WPML > String Translation" and verify if there are any translated strings associated with the YITH text domain, particularly those related to the Date and Time feature? If you come across any, consider removing them to see if this addresses the issue.

If the problem remains unresolved, conducting a plugin conflict test might be the next best step. Begin by deactivating all plugins except for WPML, String Translation, WooCommerce, and the YITH Auction plugin. Then, re-evaluate the translated auction product. If this solves the issue, reactivate the other plugins. After each activation, refresh the translated product page to see if the issue reappears. In this way, you'll be able to pinpoint if there is any plugin that is causing the issue.

Let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

I have replicated the issue in hidden link where it says "Hora da Oferta".

It is not breaking the site, but it still is translating the time and I can't seem to find a setting or way to fix it.

Hello There,
I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.

Thank you for the update. Upon checking, I've found that "Hora da Oferta" is only a translated label. The data displayed in this column remains identical to that in the default language.

However, since everything works fine in the sandbox, it seems some configuration related to the YITH Auction plugin is not correct on your site which is causing the issue. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT
-Please backup site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Looking forward to your response.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit

Hello There,
Thank you for sharing the access information.

Upon checking, I found that the issue is happening due to a conflict between the YITH Auction plugin and the "PRO Elements" plugin. It's important to note that the PRO Elements plugin is not Elementor; rather, it includes GPL features of Elementor Pro and is not an official Elementor product.

Specifically, the conflict involved the "Product Data Tabs" widget from the PRO Elements plugin clashing with the YITH Auctions plugin. Deactivating this widget through "Elementor > Element Manager" (Screenshot: hidden link) resolved the Fatal error and issue with Auction on the English version.

Given that the problem originates from that particular plugin, it would be advisable to contact the plugin's support team or the developer directly to notify them about the issue. They will better assist you in this case. As this plugin is not listed in the compatible directory of WPML, you can also request them to join the Go-global program of WPML, to make their plugin compatible with WPML. For more details about the program, you can share this link: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/

I hope you can understand. If there is anything else you need help with, feel free to let me know.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
