Background of the issue:
I need a user with the role 'author' to have the ability to edit new and existing translations for all languages on my site hidden link. I have created a user named Redaktor as a translator and set up all language pairs. This user needs access to translate WooCommerce products, especially existing ones. New translations created by this user are working fine.

Symptoms:
I see the message 'You can only edit translations assigned to' and there is no option to change assignment in Translation Management. There are thousands of jobs that cannot be canceled.

Questions:
How can I allow a user with the 'author' role to edit translations for all languages?
Why is there no option to change assignment in Translation Management?
How can I resolve the issue of thousands of jobs that cannot be canceled?

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. You will need to make the User a translation manager:

https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-admin-capabilities/

That will give access to the user.

But from the screenshot you shared, you want to change jobs that are completed which is not applicable as the jobs already completed.

You will need to send the translations again to have a new job to check.

Thanks.

Hi,

thanks for the instructions. How can I send all translations of Woocommerce products to translation manager? This user need to add and edit all translations of products in all languages. Something like admin user can, but only for products.

Best Regards,
Jan

Hi Jan,

The only way is that the translation manager goes to WPML > Translation Management and under the products he/she will find all the products that can be selected.

At the bottom of the page there will be an option to send them either to first assigned person or a specific user.

After that the user will have access to all the translations from WPML > Translations.
