Default Language: English I chatted with support earlier regarding translated buttons pointing to the default language page rather than the translated German page. The buttons were also not appearing in the WPML translation editor, thus preventing me from changing the url to the correct German page. I had already tried the searching for "http" in the WPML search field trick. But none of the buttons appeared. The support guy looked at the debug code and suggested the following steps- 1- Resave permalinks I did this and the button showed up in the WPML translation editor. So I thought the issue was resolved. I then started going through each page and doing the above 2 steps and fixing the button urls on most of the pages... ...BUT now I reached a page where the button is pointing correctly, but the buttons itself are not showing in the WPML editor again. This is really driving me insane, same issue on another WP-WPML install and the above 2 steps not always working. This is preventing me from making the client's website live as I am too worried about not being able to find the buttons in the translation editor and being able to edit the urls 🙁 |

Hello, thanks for contacting us and sorry to hear you are having issues with translating the page buttons. To speed things up let's follow the next steps: - Please share 1-page example where the issue happens and the button text you need to translate - Please make a full backup of your site (files and database) and confirm it in your next reply. I will share with you any changes or steps done in this process. I would need to access both your site's wp-admin and FTP account, if possible. I have enabled the private username and password fields in your next reply. I suggest you create a new user, set it as an administrator and then add those credentials in the private fields mentioned. You can safely add your information into these fields. Let me know, thanks. P.S. |

Hi, I had spoken with the Chat support. The support guy escalated the issue and opened another thread, it is ongoing, so you can close this one if you want. Btw, can you change my forum name please to just NK. I did not know that the forum would take my real name from when I signed up for WPML. I went into Account Settings- Account Details and changed there to NK, but it had zero effect here! Thanks. New threads created by Dražen and linked to this one are listed below: |
