When I installed WPML I specified “Choose shat you want to translate”. I have a page that was automatically translated. Now I need to disable automatic translation for THAT page otherwise I cannot see the custom translatable fields in the Advanced Editor. But how?

Hi Dario,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I’m happy to help you with this issue.

If you select the translation mode "Translate What You Choose", you can edit the page > Make a small change to the page content > Save and translate it manually.

In the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE), if the content is translated automatically, you can click on the button Undo Translation to translate content on your own. Please check this screenshot hidden link
And follow the documentation https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/#automatic-translation

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

That's the problem: there is no UNDO in the editor. See my screenshot!

Hi,

The button is not available because there isn't an automatically translated sentence when you open ATE. I suggest you edit the page > Make a small change to the page content > Save > Update the translation by opening ATE again to see the button.

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

The point is that I am NOT interested to see UNDO. I am interested to see the custom field that are translated for that page. In old WPML I was able to see all translated fields, but now they are hidden. I can see only strings. I absolutely need to know, FOR THAT PAGE, which other fields have been copied or translated. It is key to debug the fact that WPML is garbaging the BeTheme created page. In practice, the BeTheme page is ok in edit mode, but if I view it, a lot of CSS data are missing. I found out that it is related to Copy vs Translate vs No translate in Custome FIeld Translation, but I have to understand which field has been translated, which field has been copied and which is not. It's for troubleshooting. The situation is VERY critical. I cannot publish the site. THe page involved is the HOME page, a very long and complicated page.

Hi,

Please follow the documentation below to set the field "mfn-page-items" to Translate and re-translate the page to see if it helps.
https://wpml.org/errata/betheme-bebuilder-content-not-available-in-translation-editor/

If it does not help, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

Note that since the problem occured, the HOME page is well visible in EDIT mode (be sure to use BeBUilder ONLY) but even in original language is garbaged.

Here si an example. It looks like WPML is conflicting with BeTheme not only for translated language but original language too.

I try to deactivate WPML and see the issue persists. Please check the screenshot attached. So I don't think it is related to WPML itself. Can you please double-check this on your end?

I did the same, but the problem occured after I made some change (I do not remember which) to the Custom Fields Translation panel of Setting. I suspect that WPML garbaged some foeld used by BeTheme in database. If you deactivate WPML, database entry are not removed. They are still there. The problem is that I do not know which is the default configuration og wfm_* fields in a pure BeTheme+WPML installation. There is no RESET button in that panel. It would be useful to have a button to reset those choices (Copy/Copy once/Translate) to initial state.

Please notice that, the custom field preference will be applied when you translate the page. It doesn't affect the custom field in the original language.

Thanks.

Something happened anyway. Can we try to reset the Custom Translation Fields to original conbfiguration ? I mean the 58 fields with Same/Copy/Copy once/Translate columns?
