This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with displaying different footer templates for English and Hungarian languages using Elementor on their website. The Hungarian footer requires extra content, which does not display correctly and disappears after a day or does not appear on all pages.

Solution:
We recommend trying the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Navigate to Elementor > Settings > Features Tab.
2. Locate the Element Caching section and select the Inactive option.
3. Save the settings and check if the Hungarian footer displays consistently.

Additionally you may also check for any caching on server side or by any other plugin, which may cause such issues.

If this solution does not resolve the issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to display different footer templates for English and Hungarian languages on my site hidden link using Elementor. The Hungarian version requires extra content, specifically a rotating sticker in the bottom right corner.

Symptoms:
The extra content in the Hungarian footer does not display correctly. It appears only after purging the cache via a button in WordPress, but this fix is temporary and may not work on all Hungarian pages.

Questions:
Why does the extra content in the Hungarian footer disappear after a day?
Why does the Hungarian footer not appear on all pages?
How can I ensure the Hungarian footer displays consistently without needing to purge the cache?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Can you please try disabling the Elementor’s cache?

- Navigate to Elementor > Settings > Features Tab.
- Look for the Element Caching section and select the Inactive option.
- Save the settings.
- And try again.

Regards.

Thank you for your reply.

The Elementor caching was already inactive.

I have added a full stop to the bottom line that reads "Minden jog fenntartva." So the right template for Hungary is being used.

So I am now wondering if this is Geotargetting not showing that content?

Thank you for the updates.

I can see the dot in the Hungarian footer (see attached). However, I'm not sure if GeotargetingWP is causing a related problem. But of course you can check by deactivating this plugin and then checking by only with WPML, Elementor and GeotargetingWP plugins (while all other plugins are inactive).

IMPORTANT: Please take full backup of your website and database beforehand.

It is highly advised to try this on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.

The GeotargetingWP Pro version is compatible with WPML but Lite version isn't recommended. If you're using the Lite version that may be the reason too.

Please let me know and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.

It looks like the caching settings for the hosting company were causing the issue, not sure why it was still not showing correctly after clearing the cache, but have switched off they caching now and it works fine.

Thanks again for your help, it really helped point me in the right direction.
