[Closed] I want to use en_GB as a translation but it keeps translating into en_US

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Hello,

I'm new to WPML / translating websites.

My website is written mostly in Portuguese (portugal), and I'm using WPML to translate into Bristish English.

I went into "edit languages" and changed the en_US into en_GB, but when using the automatic translations I still get US english instead...

How can I fix this?

thanks for contacting us.

I am afraid that is not possible at the moment you can not choose to automaticly translate into regional/local variants of the language, in this case, English is US English.

We are having some discussion and this might change in the future.
