Hi

Im having an issue where jetengine repeater field content is not being translated/shown on the website. I cant seem to find the custom field names in the settings to add it to the translation either.

Hi Benjamin,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

Please go to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields translation section > Click on "Show system fields" and search for the field name then change the field preference to Translate.

If it does not help, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Also if you manage to fix the issue, can you provide a guide on what you did? As I need to replicate it on the live website.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

The field name is "_content", you can search for this name after clicking on the text "Show system fields" in WPML > Settings > Custom Fields translation > Set the field preference to Translate and Save changes.
Then the text is available in the Advanced Translation Editor as well. Please check these screenshots

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

I see the issue. It happens because the Item Format in the Elementor template "Nyhed" is translated into English while it should keep the same field name. Please check this screenshot hidden link

I've fixed that issue on your site by going to Templates > Theme Builder > Switch to table view > Edit the translation in the English language > Update the field name > Save changes.

Now you can see the translation Nyhed page displays the content correctly.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

So I see it working on the staging site, however when I try to replicate it, the "image translation" does not show up in the translation editor. How can that be, I have not made any changes to the website?

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

The image src attribute can be translated when you search for the relevant keyword in ATE, please check this screenshot hidden link
Notice to add the correct special character "pipe" (|).

Please read more in the documentation https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-translate-urls-shortcodes-and-html-attributes-using-the-advanced-translation-editor/

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
