I finally managed to translate the main menu of my website that uses the new full-site editor of WordPress (see my previous ticket).
However, even though the text items (= labels) in the menu are now displaying the Japanese text, the URLs to which they are pointing (pages or categories within the website) are still pointing to the English versions of the pages!
The admin access information shared in my previous ticket are still valid, if you need to go have a look with admin capabilities.
Sorry, I'd like you to know that once a ticket is marked as resolved, the credentials will be removed.
Could you please share temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed
Your following answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if required. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
I can see the issue now. There are a few steps that you need to do to switch to another language in the backend so that you can edit the Japanese Language page/posts/templates.
1. Go to the Pages > All Pages > Click on the "View" button and select Classic View. (Attached Screenshot)
2. Now, switch to the Japanese Language by clicking the "Japanese" Link.
3. You should be able to edit the header links by going to Appearance > Editor > Template Parts > Header.
I've made some changes for you and could you please check?
Thank you, the menu links seem to be working properly now in the Japanese version too.
Can you clarify one thing: when I want to change a link (for example adding a new item in the menu), after I have done it on the English version then updated the translation of the menu, I need to do the steps that you described above just once right? (on any page in Japanese) Or do I need to do it for all the pages one by one?
