This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

When I activate WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency, the shopping cart keeps loading.

Solution:

The issue happened because the String Translation plugin was outdated, and once it was updated, the issue was fixed.

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.

When i activate WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency the shopping cart keeps loading on hidden link and hidden link.

When i deactivate the plugin the English shopping cart is fine (hidden link.)But the Dutch one is not displayed right.

1) First of all, sorry for the late reply due to a higher workload. Could you please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment by following these steps?

1- Deactivate all the plugins except WPML CMS, String Translation, WooCommerce, and WooCommerce Multilingual.
2- Switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.

If the issue is gone, activate them one by one to see which one is causing an interaction issue.

2) It's unrelated to the issue, but according to your Debug.info, the WP memory limit needs to be increased. PHP memory is fine, but WordPress uses 40Mb as default. The minimum requirements for WPML are 128 MB. (Kindly check this page https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/)

You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file right before the /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Hi Osama,

Oke, the cart doesn't keep loading, but unfortunately, when i change the theme, de cart doens't even has any content. Even if I activate of al the plugins.

Also, String Translation causes the site to crash (critical error) when I activate it. (It already did, but keeps doing it even with another theme )

(I added the lines in wp-config.php.)

Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Thanks for the access details. You face issues when activating String Translation because you have an old version. Would you please upload and install the latest version (3.2.5)? (https://wpml.org/download/wpml-string-translation/?section=changelog)

After that, please activate WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual. If they worked correctly, please check the cart page issue.

Hi,

I'm not sure why you didn't see the notice, but it could be a caching issue, or you have a plugin to disable notices. However, you can check the latest WPML versions by going to Plugins-> Add New-> Commercial tab.
