[Resolved] Language flags not showing in footer language switcher
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
Language flag icons not showing due to LiteSpeed Cache plugin caching. Solution:
Excluded the flag images from caching (added image css classes to the Media exclude section of LiteSpeed Cache plugin). Relevant Documentation:
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
From the links you sent the same issue happens with the English page as well.
I could see from your previous ticket that the issue was related to the LiteSpeed Cache plug-in.
1) Can you tell me if any configuration changes were made to the LiteSpeed Cache plug-in?
2) I suggest you first check if WPML plugins are updated (the latest version is v4.6.6), also check if any other plugin needs to be updated on your website.
3) Also if possible test if the issue happens on a staging site with a minimal setup:
- set a default WP theme
- enable WPML plugins
- enable LiteSpeed Cache plugin * all the other plugins should be disabled.
You can test it on the live website as well but before you do:
Make a backup of your site in order to prevent any data loss.
Let me know if the issue is still happening on the staging site/minimal setup.

here on forum there is no cache and it's work well.
there is any thing i can do something that i can copy past in lscache options to fix this issue ?
Since you have activated lazyload on LS can you please:
1) Do a full cache clean from the LiteSpeed Cache plugin and see if the issue is fixed.
2) If the issue is not fixed after the full cache clean try switching the lazyload option off and see if the issue is fixed.
Let me know how it goes after you try those steps.
i try already to flush all (also lscache cloud) and it's not working.
if lazyload is not activated the images are working now in footer.
how can we fix this ? i need to lazyload to speed up my website. now traffic is growing and i need a fast website because many people start to visit it everyday.
Can you please confirm that the issue happens with ONLY the WPML Plugins and LiteSpeed Cache plugin active on your website?
You can test on a staging site with a minimal setup:
- set a default WP theme
- enable WPML plugins
- enable LiteSpeed Cache plugin * disable all the other plugins
In case you want to test it on the live website be sure to:
Make a backup of your site in order to prevent any data loss.
Let me know if the issue is still happening in this case.
Happy to see that the issue is fixed, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any other issues related to WPML.
Since the issue has been resolved, please mark this ticket as "resolved".
