Hello! I found an unusual issue when WPML Advanced Editor splits translation strings after the exclamation point and a dot. I wrote a detailed description and added screenshots in this document: hidden link

Please let me know what can be an issue and how we can fix it. Thanks!

Hello There,
Thanks for reaching out to us. I will try my best to assist you in this matter.

I checked the doc and clearly understand the issue. Please be informed that the Advanced Translation Editor breaks long sentences into many segments of content so it's easier to translate and maintain the translation memory.

If the word count is more than 50 words or more than 15 inline tags, the segmentation will happen.

However, you can translate the paragraphs singly as you want by joining the segments/sentences into one segment of paragraphs. Two join any two or more segments, just open the page in the Translation editor and click on the link icon between the segments as shown in this screenshot.

I hope it will help. Let me know if further assistance is needed in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit

Dear Prosenjit,

Thank you very much for your response.

Thank you for pointing to the joining segments function. However, you mentioned that sentence is split into segments "if the word count is more than 50 words or more than 15 inline tags". However, as you can see on the attached screenshot, in our case, the segmentation happens when there are clearly less than 50 words or 15 inline tags. Do you know what could be an issue?

Thank you! Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi There,

If the Advanced Translation Editor finds any punctuation mark(Excalamation, question or full-stop mark), the segmentation will also happen. Since you have added excalamation mark after a word, ATE takes it as another word for translation. I hope you can understand.

Please let me know if you need further assistance or clarification regarding this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit
