This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported issues with their site, including an error related to the 'String Translation table' which interfered with other plugins, notably affecting the display of slides on the homepage and causing abnormalities in the translations area.
Solution:
We advised the client to update their WPML plugin and its add-ons to resolve the issue. Here are the steps we recommended:
1. Create a backup of the website, preferably testing on a staging version to avoid disruptions.
2. Ensure you are signed in at wpml.org.
3. Visit https://wpml.org/account/downloads/ and click on the Download WPML manually link.
4. Download the latest versions of WPML and its add-ons.
5. Follow the manual installation guide at https://wpml.org/faq/updating-wpml-manually/.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi,
We are experiencing some issues with our site this morning. We are getting an error about "String Translation table" on our site.
It seems to be interfearing with some of our other plugins. We have a pluging we use to publish slides on our fromtpage and they wouldn't appear to day. When looking into the issue it seems to be caused by something having todo with the detected WPML error.

It also makes the translations area on the site look very strange. I have added some examples.

Welcome to WPML support. Let's first check the message problem and see what can be done for that.

You are using a super old version of WPML and WPML addons, which will make it impossible to do troubleshooting, as we can not handle that much of an old version.

Please do as follows:

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Make sure you are signed in wpml.org.
- Go to https://wpml.org/account/downloads/
- Click the "Download WPML manually" link to show the rest of the plugins on the page.
- Download the latest version of the WPML and its add-ons.
- Install them manually on your website using the method below:

Hi yeah we are aware that the version is a problem. We have unfortunately backed ourselves into a corner with several services and plugins being very old. It is an issue we are working on, however, we are currently very limited on what we can do.

I will give your method a try and get back to you as soon as i am able.

Yes please get back to us after updating the plugin. you can test it on a staging/copy version of the website so you can do the troubleshooting there.
