Background of the issue:
I’m trying to use WPML ElasticPress on my site with Avada, but the archive pages stop working when the plugin is enabled. Avada support explained to me that it’s an issue related to WPML, and when I disabled the plugin, the problem was resolved.
Symptoms:
The archive pages are empty when the WPML ElasticPress plugin is enabled.
Questions:
How can I use WPML ElasticPress without it affecting the archive pages?
Is there a solution for the issue related to WPML and Avada?
Please log in to this hidden link">sandbox site and try to replicate the issue. If the issue is replicable, please let me know how to reproduce it so I can check it and consult our compatibility team.
It’s a bit complicated to replicate the issue on the sandbox site (there are many plugins to install, etc.). I could temporarily reinstall WPML ElasticPress on our website, and you can see the problem there. Does that work for you? Avada’s technical support was almost certain that the issue related to categories is due to your plugin (and disabling it solved the problem).
