Hi WPML Support! Thanks for reading these notes. Here is a screen recording describing this issue: hidden link If I were to give it a title it would be, "WPML Variations showing in Translated Language with Show Single Variations plugin (IconiWP)". We are using the IconicWP Show Single Variations plugin (hidden link) which allows a WooCommerce Store Owner to show variations within the catalog, for instance, so that if you wanted to show each "color" variation available as if it was a standalone product, you can! Unfortuantely, this is working on the English side (original language) but not the Spanish side (second/translated language). You'll see in the video what I mean, and here is a link to the category I used in the video to demonstrate this: • English: hidden link I've written to IconicWP support and they wrote me back this: "I can confirm that even if the visibility options of the product variations in ES language are disabled, they are still showing up on the archive page, which isn't the expected behaviour. I have also tried running the indexer, but it didn't help. Please could you reach out to the WPML team to sync the products for you on each language? And if syncing still didn't help, kindly grant us admin access to your staging site where we can freely investigate the issue. We will most likely deactivate plugins and switch themes to isolate what is causing the problem." So I am reaching out to you all! I *think* I've already sync'd the products, etc. as much as I can as you'll see in the video, but perhaps you know something more. Here is staging access and credentials: If you are able and willing to troubleshoot, that would be amazing! Thank you so much for being willing! |

Hello There, First of all, I really appreciate for nicely explaining the issue you're having. I clearly understood the issue. I checked the video and seems you've tried almost every possible step to solve the issue. As per the recommendations, I also synced the products and performed comprehensive troubleshooting(From WPML and WCML both) but that issue continues to persist. However, I logged in to your site and found that 100+ plugins are activated there. Maybe due to any configuration inside any plugin causing the Variations to appear in the Catalog in other languages. FYI, I also have tried disabling the IconicWP Show Single Variations plugin and the issue continues to persist. Now, I'm requesting you to try in a minimal environment and check if the same thing is happening or not. I'm sharing a sandbox site with you where the WPML is installed already. You need to install the only required theme and plugins( IconicWP Show Single Variations plugin and if any other plugin is necessary to replicate the issue) on the sandbox. Here is the link to Sandbox created for you: hidden link (you'll be logged in automatically) Please let me know the update. Further steps will be taken based on the update. Looking forward to your and appreciate your kind cooperation in this matter. Best Regards, |

Thank you, Prosenjit, for the Sandbox and your initial reply. It helped me confirm with the IconicWP team that we will likely need to troubleshoot mainly with them, which is what I am doing now. I forwarded to them elements of your reply and we are working on it in Staging now as well. I will keep you posted. Thank you! |

Hello, again, Prosenjit! I heard back from the IconicWP Team and they wrote: "We have received a response from our development team, and according to them, when a variation is saved, the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency plugin syncs the product visibility between the original element and the translated elements. That way, if you change a variation product in the original post, the data will be synced with the translated versions. They've looked at WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency's code, and noticed that there is no way to prevent the product visibility data to be synced. With that, they are now getting in touch with WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency team for further guidance. We will get back to you once we have received any insights from them." I told them about this ticket just in case it will be helpful for you all to know the context. Thanks, again, for all of our help and for continuing to work with and help the IconicWP team as we figure this out! Thank you so much! |

Hi There, Thanks for sharing the updates. Indeed, the WCML plugin will ensure that the product visibility and variations in the default language are synchronized across all other languages. But, as they have identified the root cause already, I hope together we can figure out a solution for this issue. I will also reach out to our compatibility team to see if they have more insights about it. I will surely let you know if I have any updates on this. Best Regards, |
