This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client has a website with thousands of WooCommerce products that were duplicated in other languages rather than being translated. The client is considering using prepaid credits for automatic translation and is unsure about the workflow for translating existing product duplicates.
Solution:
If you're experiencing a similar situation, we recommend going to WPML > Translation Management, selecting all the products you wish to translate, and choosing "Get Translations" from the menu. When you do this, WPML will detect that there are existing duplicates and will prompt you to confirm if you want to overwrite the existing content with the new translations. There is no need to delete the duplicate pages before starting the automatic translation process.

Please note that this solution might not apply to your case if it's outdated or not relevant to your specific situation. We highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi,

I have a website with thousands of Woocommerce products.
The website pages were translated manually years ago, but the products were just duplicates. So, products were in english in all languages.

Now, I am thinking to buy prepaid credits, to have the products translated automatically.

What would be the best Wordflow ?

Going to "Translation Management -> Jobs", select all the products, and choose "Get Translations" in the menu ?

Would it transform automatically the duplicates in translated pages ? Or would I need to delete the duplicates page prior to do the automatic translation ?

Thanks in advance to clarify that situation.

Hi there.

When you go to WPML > Translation Management and send the products for translation, the system should let you know that there's an already existing "translation" of that content (the duplicate) and WPML will ask you if you want to overwrite the existing content.

I am attaching a screenshot below, too, so that you can see how it looks.

I hope that you will find this information helpful.
