Background of the issue:
I am trying to access the post_tag-sitemap.xml using Yoast SEO. The issue can be seen at hidden link. I expected to see sitemap links.

Symptoms:
Instead of sitemap links, I received multiple deprecated warnings related to WPML and Elementor plugins, and a fatal error: 'Uncaught TypeError: Cannot access offset of type WP_Error in isset or empty in /home/chevizza/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/classes/url-handling/converter/class-wpml-url-cached-converter.php:46'.

Questions:
Why am I seeing deprecated warnings and a fatal error when accessing the sitemap?
How can I resolve the fatal error related to WP_Error in WPML?

I'm trying to replicate and will get back to you as soon as I know more.

Meanwhile, if you are in a hurry to get back up and running, you can downgrade to version 2.1.1 and make sure alternative languages are enabled in WPML > Languages > SEO Options.

I am unable to reproduce the issue locally to debug it.

Can I ask you to share a database dump? or alternatively, share access to your site so I can take a copy of the database to debug?

I have marked your next reply as private.

We just released WPML SEO 2.2.1 that takes care of your issue:

If you could confirm it works, it would be great.
