Hello,

The option to add terms to the glossary used to be in the ATE so that every translator could add new terms, but it is not showing now. Ihave attached a screenshot with the look of it before

Please could you help with this?

Jorge

Hi there.

We have had some updates released and you can find the updated documentation on the Glossary here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/how-to-create-and-manage-glossary-entries/

I hope that you will find that helpful.

Thanks Mihai!

Does this mean that you have removed the option to add terms to the glossary from the ATE for good?

It was more convenient to add the terms from the ATE as there is where translators are translating and can add terms to the glossary straight away. With the updated version, they need to open a new window, then go to WPML translation management, then Tools and then Glossary, which means many extra clicks/time. Also, ideally, we do not want our translators to go to the management area of WPML on our site.

Any possibility to have the previous option back?

Kind regards,

Jorge

Hi Jorge.

At the moment, these are the updates that have been launched and I am not sure if the old options will ever come back again or not.

This is not for us, supporters, to decide.

Thank you for your response, Mihai.

That feature was the best possible option for translators to add terms to the glossary. Is there a way we could make a suggestion to get that feature back?

Kind reagrds,

Jorge

Hi Jorge.

Of course, I am going to send this request to the team, but, again, I am not sure if or when this will happen.

There are multiple things our dev team is working on split on priority levels.

Have a lovely rest of the week!

Is the WPML roadmap public, so that we can have a look at what is coming in new updates?

Hi Jorge.

You are welcome!

No, unfortunately, we don't have a public roadmap available.
