Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate author separators of the plugin Molongui on my site hidden link. I found the string [molongui_authorship_options]byline_multiauthor_last_separator and translated 'AND' into French and Dutch.
Symptoms:
The translation does not display on the front-end, keeping only English. I have cleared the cache in WPML, WP Rocket, and DIVI.
Questions:
Why is the translated string not displaying on the front-end?
Is there a specific step I am missing in the translation process for Molongui with WPML?
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload.
Please log in to this hidden link">sandbox site and install the "Molongui Authorship" plugin. Then, please replicate the issue and let me know how to do so so I can check it and consult our compatibility team.
Hi Osama,
I have added the plugin to the sandbox.
But you ask me to setup a sandbox site where I have to setup a blog post, multiple users, etc...I mean this is going to take me 25min...
Can’t I give you access to the production site?
Thx,
Pierre
Thanks for uploading the plugin. I created a new test user and added it to a post. (hidden link)
On your site, please go to WPML-> String Translation-> Translate Admin Texts screen, search for the "co_authors_last_separator" string, and add it to String Translation.
If you couldn't find it, I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please back up your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Best regards,
Osama
