[Resolved] Not ally me products are translated and I want to delete some of them
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: If you're experiencing an issue where a deleted product still appears on your English website and redirects to a Dutch product page, this might be due to the translation settings in WPML. Solution: First, ensure that you have permanently deleted the product from both the site and the 'Trash' to completely remove it. If the product still appears, it's likely because of the WPML translation settings for the 'Product' post type. You should navigate to WPML > Settings > Post Type Translation and change the translation preference for 'Product' to 'Translatable - only show translated items'. This setting ensures that only translated items are displayed in each language version of your site.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or if it seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and using WPML to translate products on my WordPress site. I have deleted a product called 'tijdelijke tattoo xoxo' from the English version of the site.
Symptoms:
The product 'tijdelijke tattoo xoxo' still appears on the English website even after deletion, and it redirects to the Dutch product page.
Questions:
What do I need to do to ensure the product is deleted from the English version of the site?
I understand the issue. Once a post or page is deleted, it shouldn't be accessible. However, when you try to access the English version, it's expected to see a redirect. WordPress has a built-in redirect feature that tries to direct users to the closest existing URL or suggest relevant content that matches the URL. This helps prevent errors and loss of traffic, maintaining a smooth user experience and keeping visitors engaged with the website.
Once you remove a post from your site, make sure to also delete it from the 'Trash' if you don’t plan to recover it and want it completely removed.
I hope you can understand! If you have any other questions, issues, or need further clarification on any specific point, please feel free to reach out. I'll be happy to assist!
I know that and I also did delete it from the trash but the product is still in my catalog. See: hidden link
You see all English products and 1 dutch product called tijdelijke tattoo xoxo. I don't want that product in my catalog because I deleted it. Please help me with this.
Also I want to upload English product images to my product gallery. But every time when I save the product the changes don't come through.
I checked the link and found the product "Tijdelijke tattoo mini xoxo," which is in Dutch. The reason this product is appearing in the English category is due to the translation preference set for the "Product" post type. Currently, it is set to "Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language." With this setting, if a translation is not available, the default product will appear in its place.
Since you deleted the English translation, the default Dutch product is being displayed in the English version.
Please go to "WPML > Settings ↳ Post Type Translation" and change the translation preference for the "Product" post type to "Translatable - only show translated items". This should solve the issue.
