Hello,

WPML must be re-registered each time a website is migrated or the domain or domain provider is changed.

Did you follow those steps already?

1) Go to https://wpml.org/de/account/websites/

2) Remove the old domain from the list.

3) Register your new site URL. This creates a new site key.

4) Click on “Show key” and copy it.

5) Enter the key under Plugins > Install > Commercial (Tab) to register WPML again. If WPML is still registered here, deregister it first.

If this will not solve the issue, please let us know.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi,

If it is still in progress, please try to cancel the job from WPML -> Translation Management -> Jobs and resend it to priorityvv@gmail.com.

Does it help?

You can also try to make a small change in the original post and send it to translation.

If you need further help with this, please share the access details to your site with me (with the user priorityvv@gmail.com). I'm enabling a private message for the following reply.

Hi, and thanks for the access details.

I've found the problem on your site and fixed it. In WPML -> Settings -> Post Types Translation, the default WordPress post type, Pages (page), was set to "Not translatable". Please see the attached screenshot pages-not-trans.jpg. I set it to "Translatable," and now it is possible to edit the translation using WPML's Advanced Translation Editor. Please see the attached screenshot homepage-ok.jpg.

Can you please confirm that the problem is fixed now?

The default WordPress post type Pages (page) is set to be translatable by default. On your site, probably by mistake, someone set it to "Not translatable". You can read more about setting the translation preferences of custom post types here.

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-posts/#enable-custom-post-types-for-translation

Regards,
Itamar.

yes, thank you, advanced translation editor opens now, but I met another problem.
When I try to update translation of homepage, editor is showing the old data, not the text that is actually on this page. Could you suggest how I can solve that?
Just moved the website to a new domain and want to update homepage translations

Hi,

You need to update the original page. This means to press the Update button. Then, the pencil icon of the translation should be changed to a circled arrow icon. If this does not happen, make a small change to the original page and press the Update button. Then click the circled arrow button to edit the translation, and you should see the new changes from the original and be able to translate them.

Itamar.

Hi,

I just checked the issue on your site and didn't see it. I edited the homepage here.

I could see that the Dutch translation is "In progress". I could tell it by the gear icon. When I edited the translation with WPML's Advanced Translation Editor, I could see the new sentence waiting for your translation. I recorded a video of this. Please see it here.

Please let me know if this is helpful for you or if I am missing something.

Itamar.
